Capsule is like microlearning that is only 5-7 minutes of learning. It serves only 1 learning objective. It includes Learning Objects (Activities) like Introduction, Lesson, Tutorial, Case Study / Scenario, Assessment, Resources, Download, and Summary. It also encapsulates the “blended” learning approach.
Challenges that Capsules are able to resolve:

This is one of the first approaches that we adopted since we were established. Conventional Content Development goes through the proper instructional design process from content analysis, storyboarding, construction and testing before deployment to any Learning Management System (LMS). Success Approximation Model (SAM approach) developed by Michael Allen, Action Mapping developed by Cathy Moore, and CCAF (Context, Content, Assessment, Feedback) approaches are what we are using for any content development approaches.
Learners will learn in an interactive mode yet engaging manner.
The Process
We follow our Content Development Methodology in delivering customised eContent to all of our customers. This methodology is tried, tested, and enhanced and improved over the years. It includes:
-
Content Analysis & Study (CAS)
-
Courseware Design (CWD)
-
Courseware Construction (CWC)
-
Courseware Evaluation & Packaging (CEP)
Throughout the entire process, we provide value-added services like project management and stringent quality control exercises, to ensure quality delivery to our customers.

Propose Content
Content Development Methodology
We will first propose or suggest the types of games mechanics, sometimes can even show samples or concepts for clients to select. Then clients will make an agreement to do one (1) concept or several concepts joining together. Success Approximation Model (SAM approach) developed by Michael Allen, Action Mapping developed by Cathy Moore, and CCAF (Context, Content, Assessment, Feedback) approaches are what we are using for any content development approaches.
Learners will learn in exploration mode, interactive mode yet engaging manner.
The Process
Below is the Game-Based Learning process. This methodology is tried, tested, and enhanced and improved over the years. It includes:
-
Concept Proposal
-
Content Analysis & Study (CAS)
-
Courseware Design (CWD)
-
Courseware Construction (CWC)
-
Courseware Evaluation & Packaging (CEP)
Throughout the entire process, we provide value-added services like project management and stringent quality control exercises, to ensure quality delivery to our customers. Clients side is crucial during all review sessions – Storyboard, Construction, UAT.

Simulation Content Development is like a screencast – recording animations, mouse cursor and typing, it’s like everything that is happening on your screen are captured. Usually, simulation is used to train or teach people in using certain systems or processes.
The Process
Like Conventional Content development process, we will still follow our Content Development Methodology in delivering customised eContent to all of our customers. We will include the Clips Capture Script – this will involve the Access ID to be used, types of data to be inserted, and detail steps to be included. Once the scope and Script are agreed by the client, we will begin capturing the screens, and move into the next stage. As this methodology is tried, tested, and enhanced and improved over the years.

Rapid Content Development takes shorter in timeframe, as it eliminates storyboard process. Prototype is done in Articulate Storyline itself. It eliminates the storyboard process. Prototype depicts the actual work itself or the output itself. It involves minor animations, interactivities, sound effects but without or voice overs.

Interactive Video and 360° Video is the upcoming trend right now in terms of time, cost, effectiveness and engagement. You are able to pick a ready-made video or a self-recorded video to make it an interactive video. For 360° Video, you will need a special gadget that can cater to 360° input as video before you develop it. No doubt learning through video is the most basic and compliant to any platform – desktop, laptop, mobile and tablets. Plus they are trackable in any LMS or analytical platforms.

eLearning in Augmented Reality (AR) mode? How can we make it happen? What authoring tools are used for AR development?
eLearningMinds is currently conducting R&D on the types of content can be implemented in AR mode. We are still exploring all sorts of technology and tools available to implement for AR eLearning Course. We hope and still hoping that there are tools available for learners without any programming knowledge, to pick the tools up, and develop eLearning courses in AR mode – easily, and economically.
